Cabarrus County Schools is excited to announce the redevelopment of the Mary Frances Wall Pre-K Center on the former Beverly Hills Elementary School campus in Concord, NC. This new, state-of-the-art facility represents a major investment in early childhood education bringing long-overdue upgrades and enhancements to the district’s Pre-K offerings.

The new center will feature 25,000 square feet of new construction and will repurpose an additional 10,000 square feet of existing space to house modern classrooms, support services, and administrative offices. Once complete, the center will serve up to 300 Pre-K students, offering access to both Cabarrus County Schools employees and families across the community.

Designed with safety, accessibility, and growth in mind, the facility will include:

  • Secure, controlled outdoor playgrounds

  • Expanded parent drop-off and pick-up areas

  • A fully enclosed, safe learning environment for all students and staff

We are proud to once again partner with YCH Architects of Concord, NC, for the design of this project, along with G.W. Liles Construction Company, Inc., also based in Concord.

The Mary Frances Wall Pre-K Center is expected to be completed in May 2026 and will officially open its doors at the start of the 2025–2026 school year.

This project underscores Cabarrus County Schools’ commitment to investing in our youngest learners and creating spaces that are not only functional and secure but truly inspiring for students, families, and educators alike.
