Cabarrus County Schools launched Destination 2025 with a clear vision: to build upon our district’s rich legacy while setting a bold course for continuous improvement. Rooted in our belief that excellence is not a destination but a journey, the plan focused on providing the highest quality learning experiences for all students. Over the past three years, we have achieved significant milestones across all six Destination 2025 strategic priorities—Student Wellness, Teaching and Learning, Early Learning, Technology-Enhanced Learning, Diverse Talent Pipeline, and Community Alignment.
Through this work, we have expanded access to early learning, elevated instructional quality, strengthened supports for students, and cultivated stronger partnerships with families and community partners. Most importantly, these efforts have fueled meaningful growth in student achievement and well-being, reinforcing our district’s commitment to helping every student realize their full potential.
While we are proud of the outcomes achieved, our work is far from complete. As we look to the future, Destination 27 builds upon the foundation of Destination 2025 by extending our strategic vision and refining our focus. Informed by progress monitoring, stakeholder feedback, and emerging needs, we have streamlined our priorities to ensure greater coherence and lasting impact.
Destination 27 is grounded in five strategic priorities designed to sustain our momentum and respond to current challenges:
Student Wellness & Safety;
Teaching & Learning;
Staff Recruitment, Growth, & Retention;
Financial & Operational Stewardship; and,
Community Engagement.
Through Destination 27, we reaffirm our shared responsibility to serve as “Champions for Children's Success.” Together, we will continue to invest in the success of every student and shape a brighter future for Cabarrus County.
